Privacy Policy

Effective date: January 1, 2021 · Last updated: May 14, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Samurai Dog Software ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile applications (collectively, the "Apps"). By downloading or using any of our Apps, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

Our Apps generally do not require you to create an account. If you contact us for support, we receive the information you choose to provide (such as your email address and the contents of your message).

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you use the Apps, certain information is collected automatically by us and by the third-party services described below. This may include:

1.3 Information We Do NOT Collect

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

3. Third-Party Services

Our Apps integrate the following third-party services. These services may collect and process information independently of us, in accordance with their own privacy policies.

3.1 Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, etc.)

We use Google Firebase (provided by Google LLC) — including Firebase Analytics and, where applicable, Crashlytics and Performance Monitoring — to understand how the Apps are used and to detect crashes. Firebase may collect information such as device identifiers, app instance ID, OS version, app version, events, and approximate location derived from IP address.

3.2 Google AdMob (Advertising)

We use Google AdMob (provided by Google LLC) to display advertisements in some of our Apps. AdMob and its advertising partners may collect and use the Advertising ID (IDFA on iOS, AAID on Android), IP address, device information, coarse location, and information about your interactions with ads in order to deliver, measure, and (where you have consented) personalize ads.

On iOS, ads are personalized only if you grant permission via Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. On Android, you can reset or opt out of the Advertising ID in your device settings. In the European Economic Area, the UK, and Switzerland, we (or AdMob's consent flow) will request your consent before using your data for personalized advertising, in accordance with Google's EU User Consent Policy.

3.3 In-App Purchases (Apple App Store / Google Play)

In-app purchases are processed by Apple Inc. (App Store) or Google LLC (Google Play). When you make a purchase, the relevant store handles your payment information directly — we never receive your payment card details. We do receive a transaction identifier and confirmation that the purchase was completed so we can deliver the purchased content and validate receipts.

4. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA / UK Users)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process your personal data on the following legal bases:

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only:

6. International Data Transfers

Information collected by us and our third-party providers (such as Google) may be transferred to, stored, and processed in countries outside your country of residence, including the United States. Where required, such transfers are made under appropriate safeguards (such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses).

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Apps and for the purposes described in this Policy. Analytics data collected by Firebase is retained according to the retention settings we configure in the Firebase console (typically up to 14 months). Aggregated or anonymized data may be retained indefinitely.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights:

California residents have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell personal information for money.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at adam@samuraidogsoftware.com.

8.1 Advertising Choices

8.2 Analytics Opt-Out

You can disable Firebase Analytics collection at any time by uninstalling the App.

9. Children's Privacy

Our Apps are not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in the relevant jurisdiction, e.g. 16 in parts of the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

If your App is directed to children, you must replace this section with a COPPA / Google Play Families / Apple Kids Category compliant statement, and disable personalized ads in AdMob.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information collected through the Apps. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be announced within the App or by other reasonable means. Your continued use of the Apps after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
